Safety Issues
Students will perform basic classroom safety.

Instruction
The two halves of the class will be split into their natural disaster teams to play jeopardy, and will work in lab benches to create questions.
Opening
I will have a short opening for this lesson, explaining “we are playing jeopardy to review! Everyone shift your desks into your natural disaster teams. Winning team gets two points on their test!”
(1 minute)

Learning Activities
First we will complete the jeopardy questions, and I will instruct the students to write down the answers that they are unsure of as a review. Each lab bench will work in a team to answer a question, but the points will be added to their overall natural disaster teams score. After this, each lab bench will hand in a question they think should be on the test. These questions should be multiple choice (4 answers) with a paragraph at the bottom explaining what the answer is and how they found it. I will pick a handful of these questions to put on the test, and these teams will not have to answer their question if it is on the test, they will automatically get it right.
(40 minutes)

Closing
I will read all the questions written to the class and discuss with them the correct answers. If there are any questions we do not get to answer, I will post them on the school website for students to review.
(10 minutes)

Assessment
Students will have a formative assessment by creating their own idea of a multiple-choice question for the test. This is also an authentic assessment since these questions could end up on the test.

Homework
Study for the exam!
